Photo slide show: Sharks! at the Pittsburgh Zoo & PPG Aquarium

Did you know that sand tiger sharks can grow up to 13 ft in length and can reach up to 250 lbs? Though they may appear ferocious, their diet consists mainly of bony fish, small sharks, squid, and crustaceans, and they generally swallow their prey whole - so people are completely out of the picture. So says the Pittsburgh Zoo and Aquarium. To prove that point, the staff at the zoo recently invited some Pittsburghers to take a dip - in the shark tank. And our brave photographer followed.
