After landing leading fashion giant Nordstrom,
Ross Park Mall has announced a number of new upscale retail tenants.
As part of a major redevelopment of its North Hills property, more than 20 stores are under construction at the 1,200,000 square-foot mall, which is currently anchored by
Macy’s,
JCPenney and
Sears.
Nordstrom’s two-level, 139,000-square-foot store will open Oct. 24 adjacent to a 5,000-square-foot
Tiffany & Co.
Joining Nordstrom will be a host of specialty fashion and accessories retailers that currently do not have a presence within the regional market. Popular handbag designer
Kate Spade will open a 1,600-square-foot boutique in October, while children’s clothier
Janie and Jack will open a 1,346-square-foot shop in August. Also slated for October is a 3,092-square-foot boutique operated by trendy fashion line
Juicy Couture, as well as a 2,485-square-foot
Lucky Brand store (which just opened in South Hills Village).
“Not only do these retailers impact shopping in Pittsburgh, but the entire Western Pennsylvania region. These stores will draw a considerable amount of shoppers from extended markets,” says Mike Gianoutsos with Ross Park Mall, who expects additional tenant announcements to follow.
New construction is also underway at the mall’s
L.L. Bean store, which will open in November. Additional new retailers also include
Burberry,
Louis Vuitton,
True Religion Jeans,
Michael Kors, and
BCBGMaxAzria.
The mall’s Nov. 8 grand opening will feature daylong fashion shows and retailer demonstrations, while proceeds from an Oct. 22 gala will benefit nonprofit partners,
Carnegie Museum of Art and
Pittsburgh Ballet Theater. Ross Park Mall, which attracts 10 million shoppers annually from the tri-state region, will also be the site of a planned 55,000-square-foot lifestyle center.
